I'm the cook in the family..<br /><br />I'm making gravy for the bird, everything's going well.... I'm browning the flour in the skillet, and just dumping the broth in. Splatters enough to hit the burner, but no big deal.. Just a little smoke. No harm here. <br /><br />Well, enough smoke to trip the smoke detector. Ok, that's easy.. turn on the range hood, crack the french doors onto the deck, and that stops. All is good. <br /><br />About then two fire trucks roll up lights and sirens. Seems rocket scientist me forgot that our smoke detectors are tied to our ADT security system. It did it's little electronic thing and promply called the Fire Department. Arrrgh!<br /><br />Don't I feel like a dope!
