Ok 1 more oil question

The book calls for synthetic 2 stroke oil. ( Evinrude brand of course)
We have conventional in the tank now. To switch to synthetic do I need to drain the old or can they mix?

Its not that simple….motor can be programmed to use 100:1 (synthetic) or 50:1 (conventional) oil.

Which one is it programmed to use?

A tank full of 50:1 would suggest it’s programmed to run 50:1 oil.

You could of course use XD 100 with either setting but you would be spending twice as much on oil
