have just purchased a 5m ali runabout with a yamaha 50 outboard. model 50DETO. approx 1993.<br />the bottom spark plug oils up. put in new plugs<br />still the same. also seams to use a lot of fuel.
Sounds like your are not getting good spark on the bottom cylinder. Pull the wires off and see if the spark jumps a good gap and has a nice blue spark.
