I've reviewed previous posts but haven't been able to find an answer so I'll try again.

1988 Mercury 175hp V6 with oil injection.

Is there any way to determine if the oil warning module is bad? I do not get the 3 beeps when I turn the key. I have 12v on the purple at the buzzer. If I ground the tan/blue from overheat sensor, I get a buzz.

Should I just replace the module or is there somethng I'm overlooking?

Thanks

Re: Oil Warning Module

make sure all the other wires are attached to the module and that the module has a good ground and 12v power on the purple wire to the module. if all checks out odds are its the module.

Re: Oil Warning Module

I removed my oil injection and did away with buzzer.Premix and don't have to worry with any of that mess.
