Hello,
This is the first Mariner outboard I've owned and I'm not near the engine now. I do not know its Serial or Model number. Do you know the oil type this engine era used? It has a oil reservoir in the front of the engine. Does the reservoir have a label that says the oil type used?
Thanks,
Bruce/CT

Any outboard oil rated TC-W3 will do fine, Bruce. I used Walmart's SuperTech.

Synthetic oils make less smoke and carbon, cost a lot more.
