I have a '97 Proline with a 150 Johnson J150EXEUE outboard. I have never performed any PM on this oil resivore or injection system, The questions are: 1) What should be done? 2) How?

Thank you,
Nick

you've been lucky, there are several steps to maintainance. you need to get a manual for your engine, and do all the preventative maintainance. with 273 post, you know we say get a manual. just kidding.

Drain it,clean it,replace the filter.Refill w/fresh oil and add oil to the gas (50:1) until you know it's working OK. (standard operating proceedure any time you interupt a VRO system)

DHP, Is there a filter on the Oil supply system? If so, where is it. I had thought the only filter was the screen on the fuel line that supplies the vapor seperator.

Gents, Thanks for the info. It was overlooked. If it a "clean" thing or a "replace" thing?
