oil pressure?

Last trip I noticed my oil pressure on a mercruiser inboard 350 tourn skier to be around 10psi after running at idle. Under load it would go up to about 30-40psi. Does that seem too low? Time for an oil pump replacement? Serial number: 0k040853

if your using anything but 25W-40 that can happen. lower oil pressure after a hard sustained run.install a mechanical gauge to verify the electrical one

10psi per 1000 rpm is within specification.

Replacing the oil pump does not solve 99% of oil pressure problems. The only way it would fix something is if the pump was physically broken, and if it's pumping oil, it's not broken.

Lowered oil pressure is a result of engine wear and increased clearance in the bearings.

Agree with all, and my engines after coming off plane are a bit under 10, then as it cools down it comes up a bit more. I run straight 40W because if I have to put a jacket on I'm not going boating ;)
