Oil mixture

What is the a good mix to use on a 59 MERC Mark 15A . I have been using the 16/1 but would like to try something else that won't damage my engine.<br /><br />TIA

I run 50 to 1 in my 59 60 hp marathon...

Has anyone else had successful experience with running 50 to 1 in the pre 60 motors?
