Hello out there, I am new to the site and I have to admitt it is great for pointer's for do it yourselfer like myself. So I figured I'd ask you guys a couple of questions....

I was just wondering what the correct fuel to oil mixture is for my rude? The motor is a 1976 Evinrude 115hp v-4.

I am currently mixing 13 oz for every five gallons. Is this the correct mixture?

Also ome more question for your pro's out there, I use Premium, but I see that everyone suggests using just plain ol 87 octane. Should I be using regular or is using premium better?

Welcome!

50:1 is your ratio using a good quality TCW3 oil. Thats a pint to 6 gallons. Use 87 octane fuel and keep it fresh. No older than 30 days. Champion plugs only!

Good luck!

13oz is about right for 5 US gallons, 76Rude115.

Most portable tanks are 6 gallons, so if you are using one, check the capacity. If it is a 6 gallon tank, use 16oz (1 pint).

Good luck. :)

The gas can I have is 5 gallons. The boat has a 27 gallon tank so it tanks plenty of trip to fill it. But I mix it 13oz for the 5 gallon container. I was just checking to make sure I was mixing it right. thanks again.
