I want to change the oil lines on my 2 stroke motor with the VRO still hooked up. There is oil leakng somewhere so I figured I will clean the engine and put new lines in while I have it apart. I looked at the BRP and other sites and the oil lines are no longer available. Can I use fuel line for the oil line and what size i.d. are the oil lines? The engine info is in my signature.

Bombardier uses special oil lines. They are not fuel lines. The line from the tank to the engine is special 1/4" yellow stripe oil line. Looks just like a fuel line, but has a yellow stripe running the length of the hose. The fuel pump bulb is also special. You can buy it as a complete kit from Bombardier. The oil lines inside the cowling are likely also special. Esp those which bend in tight radiuses. Those hoses may even have a unique part number assigned to them. Those bent hose are heat-bent at the factory to still flow oil around tight corners. Regular bulk hose will kink when bent in a tight radius, (can cause a restriction) so be careful when replacing the short hoses under the cowling.

It is the line inside the cowling that I want to replace. Finding them is a pain in the butt, evan at BRP. Most sites list them as NLA. I did find 2 sites that may have them available and will call them today to verify.

As a point of clarification, the only oil line that goes to the engine is the one from the oil tank. It goes direct into the combination oil/fuel pump. All the other lines inside the cowling are considered fuel lines. Not sure you who you are talking to at a Bombardier dealership , but I've checked these hose item numbers from the factory fuel pump parts drawing. Fuel hose items #60, #58, #83, #64 are all in stock under the factory part number in the Bombardier whse. Hose item # 81 is NLA. Item #75 is not a special hose, but is cut from a roll of bulk hose, part number: 335738. Item #77 is also NLA, but this dealer in Kentucky has one pc of 336318 hose in stock: Danny's Marine Repar: Phone 270-524-2628

The line in question is #1 in the parts list. Part #0339603, listed as Hose, oil inlet and does go to the fuel pump. I tried a number of sites and through a phone call to one dealer I got the # for another dealer that has one in stock. I may not even need the line, but for only a few bucks I ordered it.

399603 is not a consumer part. The Factory parts list clearly shows it is not sold, as it is part of a kit. Contact your dealer for more info. It is called out in their annual Parts and Accessories Guide. The dealer may have to contact Bombardier's customer service group for more clear information on how this kit is sold.
