I have a 2002 4hp 4 stroke Nissan. When I take this motor on long trips I usually lay it down in the bed of my truck per the manual. Once set up on the boat again I've noticed that when first started the oil light will come on intermittently. It seems to respond to how much throttle you give it or how much choke is out. Once warm the light goes off completely. I know I have enough oil and the engine is very good condition... is this just from being on its side? Anybody else ever have a similar issue?
