Oil leaking from lower unit

Had an overheat issue at end of last season. Water pump was bad. I replaced it and temps were back to normal. All was well and put her to bed for the winter. Today as I walked by the boat I noticed a small patch of gear lube under the outdrive. Seems to be coming out of the small peee hole at bottom. Outdrive is a pre-alpha merc. What could I have done wrong????

Drain the gear lube, and pressure check the drive. use a spray bottle with soapy water to find the leak.
