Oil leaking down shaft

96 115 HP Evinrude is dry docked for the winter and noticed an oil spot on ground under prop. Other than obvious such as a line leaking, could the carb floats be stuck open? Boat is under wrap and can't get to engine without cutting, just wanted to know which way to go when I uncover! Thanks Ben

BV - The spot is either engine oil, fogging oil or gear oil. Stick a finger into the spot and smell it. If it stinks, it is gear oil and you have a leak. If it smells like 2 cycle oil or fogging oil, it is normal.
