i have an oil leak in the lower drive unit of my penta volvo 1997 7.4liter. It has a strong odor...not fish! could this be gasket leak or serious problem
Doubled...Is it leaking in your bildge area?..If so then you have a seal problem...(A mechanic replaced all of mine and impellar for around $500...If it is leaking from your lower drive (on outside of boat) it may be drive fluid fill hole seal..whiach is easy an inexpensive to replace..I also put thread sealent on it for extra sealing....hope this helps....pete42
