Came across leak during warmup. Oil coming from under cap on top of upper unit. Not sure how to proceed and do not want to take a wrong step. Serial number is 2062609. Think it is a type 1 a, b or c e-z drive. Not sure.
Any help would be appreciated. Eager to learn. Thank you.

Sounds like the 'o' ring is leaking. Should be 4 screws in the top cover. They allow the top cover to be removed. That will allow you to replace the 'o' ring.Be warned... At more than 50 years old, you're likely to find things in there that will require more repairs...

Thank you Chris. Was not expecting to get away with just an oring. Will remove cover, inspect and replace oring. Runs well now, but also expect there will be more to follow being 50+ years old.

Those screws are a 12-point 3/8" head. The torque, for putting them back is 20ft-lb.
