1985 suzuki dt-115hp<br />had engine rebuilt earlier and had all of the oil injection removed due to lack of trust in the system after it cooked a cylinder. my question is this: the hose that runs from the bottom bearing to the top bearing was replaced with a new hose but i noticed that the check valve is no longer installed. is this check valve needed with the oil injection removed? will it still lube both bearings. someone told me this is a overflow hose. it is running fine after about 10 hours on it so far.

Re: oil injection

hi there! the hose take the exessive oil from lower bearing and luubes the upper bearing and the valve makes the oil go up. remember its the crankcase pressures that make it move.and you want it to move only up. :)

Re: oil injection

I would replace it for the reasons discussed above.
