Oil injection test

Is there a way to check if oil is truly being injected into the fuel? The only thing I read in my manual is to mark the oil level in the tank and watch that it goes down. How long does it take to go down before I should check?

Depends on the size of your motor and boat. If you run 15-20 miles, you will notice a drop.
