Hi all, I was hoping that someone could set me straight on the removal or the oil injection from my 1993 150 Merc carby. The system had been disconnected by the previous owner, though had left all the plumbing intact. I wish to remove the large (boat mounted) oil tank to free up some more storage space. Can I just remove this and block off the line from the crank case, and the other into the small oil tank? I have no problem with leaving the small, engine mounted tank etc intact, on engine. I'm currently mixing quicksilver TCW3 oil at 50:1 is this fine for skiing, and cruising around up to about 5000rpm. Thanks again for your help

Where in Aus are you xsportz ? The autoblend on the Mercs is very good and reliable, I'm told.
Why do you prefer pre-mix ?

Yes just remove the tank, plug the lines... Pressure and oil lines both...

If the oil pump is still attached, you can buy a plug specially made to fit where the pump is fitted. Buy it from your mercury dealer.
