Oil injection refill not working

'02 Yamaha 150 V6. There is a large oil reserve tank in the floor of the boat and a small reserve tank on the motor. Large tank has a lot of oil in it. Reserve on the motor fell below the line and the alarm went off. I was out in the water so I just filled the small tank up and it ran great. So can someone get me started on trying to figure out why the big tan is not feeding the little one?

find the emergancy switch on the motor
turn key on
see if the oil is getting pumped into motor tank

Just to pass some info over to you. Rodbolt has been tons of help. His instructions are there.Simular problem but different years. Read my post a little farther down. Its not hard to test hope this helps.

Update on this... It's still not transfering oil from the reservoir to the engine oil tank. I found the manual switch and tried that both with the key on and the engine running. The pump works cause you can hear it but nothing is transferring. So the oil level alarm works, the safety shut down thing works, the pump sounds like it is working, the manual switch activates the pump or it least you can hear it.... but no oil moves from the big tank to the little one. Can the lines in these things get clogged? Anyone got another suggestion for me to try?
