I just bought a used 70 Johnny that has oil injection. The guy I bought from said he still mixed his gas and used the injection at the same time. Huh?? Is it safe to do away with the injection and just mix the gas manually? Also what does VRO stand for? Thanks,j.

Re: oil injection or not?

One of the first thing I did when I bought my rig with 1987s on it ten years ago was to replace the VRO pumps with regular fuel pumps. I use pre-mix and have no problem with mixing fuel & oil in the fuel tank. I never have to wonder if the VROs are working properly.

if you don'y want to use the oil injection remove oil line cap off fitting and disconnect wires
