oil in water

kinda new to boating so please bear with me...85 yamaha prov 150 when we come to idle after running there seems to be alot of oil gas mix on top of the water didnt really notice this until recently i just added oil (quicksilver) dont know if that has anything to do with it. also man this sight is addicting ...you guys are great...thanks for any help

check the fuel pumps and the recirc valves. if a valve is bad or a pump diaphram is bad you may notice a lousy idle and excessive fuel on the water

ill check them tommorrow, if one of the two are bad will you have both symtoms...because it starts great, idles great and runs at all rpms great its just when i caome to idle theres alot of fuel mix around the back of the boat?

just a update... after i looked it was just a drain screw on the middle carb, broke off somehow dont know how..thanks for the help
