Re: oil in the piston

common issue with the older rotax engines the rotary valve compartment is between the 2 cylinders,, this has seals to keep oil on the rotary valve shaft, usually the crank seals leak and oil gets in the crank case causing the engine to smoke like crazy after it has been sitting for days,, you actually have to rebuild the lower end to fix it, or remove the plugs and crank out the oil,, then start it and it will stop smoking in a few minutes,, but it will do it again after it sits a few days.

i took the plugs off and pumped all the oil out put the plugs back on and try and start it right off the bat oil back in the piston. If it sits it doesn't fill up only when i am trying to start it. Do you think it could back some sort of regulator or something.

you didn't get all the oil out of the crank case,, it goes in below the piston and gets forced in to the combustion chamber when the engine is rotating

Remove the two drain plugs on the bottom of the motor, see what comes out.

I think it is a 5.5mm allen head plug
