Oil from lower unit?

I have a 1995 mariner 2 stroke and I noticed a little oil coming from a hole above the prop is this normal

and the hp of the engine.... and exactly where the oils coming from and the consistency of the oil... (thick and black, thin and honey-coloured)....

I can attach pictures in a bit but it was a blackish oil from my 90 horse right behind/above the prop. I read on here it might be where I flooded it and the gas evaporated and the oil just had to leak out somewhere.

Could be, but ABOVE the prop worries me. Normally we see residual engine oil leaking from the exhaust cavity in the gear housing (between the prop and the gear case)....
