Oil filter help

Hello,
I recently bought a used 2019 Rinker with a Mercury 200XL outboard. Model #12000009a

I want to change the oil myself before I put the boat in the water. My problem is-I can’t find anywhere that lists a part number for the oil filter. I even have the owners manual, but there is nothing in there that says which oil filter to use. It has directions on how to change the oil, quantity, etc-but no information on the oil filter.

Does Mercury just use one standard filter for all their 4 stroke 6/8 cylinder engines? Is that why they don’t list it?

The nearest marine store is about a 40 minute drive, so I don‘t want to head there without knowing what I need first. I’ve spent some time googling it with no luck, anyway just wondering if anybody on here has some insight as to where I could find this information.
Thanks

Welcome, if you go to the Mercury EzPartsWeb (sysonline.com)
and put in your serial number you can find the part number for the filter.
For some reason it's listed under the Starter Motor category.
It's probably a 35-877761K01

Thanks for all the info. I would have never thought I needed the serial number. My amateur mechanic experience is with motorcycles. The model number will get you every part you need, at least with Japanese bikes.

I was able to find the exact part using the link to the online Mercury parts catalog suggested. The Mercury part number for the oil filter I needed was #80123025. eBay had a bunch of sellers with filters in stock. I ordered one tonight.

Thanks to all for the help.
