After lowering the drive in my 74' OMC, I soon discovered oil coming out of the water pickup tube... I thought this was a rather odd place for oil to be coming from... Pulled the plug on the lower and the oil was a little milky, upper seemed to be fine. Does it make sense that a seal has went in the lower, potentially the swivel seal? I did change the impeller and housing in the upper last year but didn't do anything to the lower except change the oil. Never managed to make it out on the water due to tilt problems, well, lack there of so it was only ran on the hose.
