oil coming from prop

Hi guys, Just winterized my 2007 mercury opti 150 and in doing so I put 30mL of opti oil into the cylinder per manual. Next night I lowered the unit all the way down and noticed a tiny puddle of oil forming. Took off the prop and there was oil sitting at the bottom. Would this be the excess oil that I put into the cylinders running down to the exhaust? I'm pretty sure it's not lower unit oil and that my seals are fine. Never had this before I started winterizing.

Me too. Were it something else you probably would have noticed it sooner.

Good, I tried rummaging through some older post and this seems to be the most logical explanation. It's always nerve racking when you first discover something like this. You immediately start thinking worse case scenario. I previously owned a 4.3 mercruiser, so this outboard (optimax) stuff is new to me. On the other hand I think I might hold off on doing anything else (lower gear case) because the weather is supposed to be nice early next week yet.
