I have a Suzuki 115 A 4 cycle 2018 Outboard. The Manual states to put engine in vertical position to check oil. The only place to find to put level on is the cavitation place. When I do that the oil level is two High by the oil stick . I changed the oil and put the recommended amount 5.5 litres 1.452951 gals. When I tilt the engine the stick shows full. Could there have been oil left in and did not drain. Please leave feed back, Should I let oil out. Do not want to run.

Use your eyeballs. Step back and look. Is the motor more or less vertical or not? That is all that is needed.

It is all too easy to overfill a four stroke motor. Hopefully, that is the situation in your case. In which case just extract oil as needed. In the future only fill to the mid point of the min and max scale.

Now if the motor is "making oil" that is a different situation altogether.
