i have a stern drive mercury 3.0 and I do not know how to add oil . Should I open the cover I highlighted with a yellow circle ? If yes should I remove the tube connected to it before ? I am quite novice and would appreciate your guidance. On the second picture there is the serial number and model. Thank you !

It appears from the pics that someone has covered up the original information on the flame arrestor? Perhaps it's just a replacement from another motor but is a bit suspect.

As bondo states, the oil fill cap is noted correctly and most likely turns a bit to remove. Hose can be removed temporarily to allow cap removal

Thanks a lot guys for your reply and advice. If I understand correctly I have to turn a bit the cover and pull. Do you know by chance the procedure to winterize this engine ? On one of the videos on youtube the guy just pulls the engine drain hose (see picture) and the water is supposed to get out of the engine.
