oil change Mercruiser 350 MPI 300 B3

First time I am winterizing boat. any info/tips to make this go easy. I have 2004 Rinker 270 with mercruiser 350MPI 300 B3 drive. Also I have been told NOT to fog the engine (MPI) through the intake but to remove the plugs and do it that way. The service marina says you can fog through the intake???? Thanks for your help!!!
