Oil change etc.

Hi<br /><br />I have changed the oil and filter in August and used the motor (9.9hp 4st)for about 4 hours. I am about to winterize the motor for 7 months. <br /><br />1. Do I have tochange the oil? I checked it and it is still clear.<br /><br />2. How often do I have to change the water pump impeller? I was told every season.<br /><br />Thanks

Used oil has contaminants in it that can corrode the engine internals. I have no idea what 4 hours of running will do to the oil, but it should be your call on if you're willing to store the motor with used oil in the crankcase. I changed the impeller on my 130 after 300 hours and it looked fine. I'd at least check it every two seasons - not every season. My motor has 500 hours on it and I don't plan on looking at the impeller again until the end of next season.
