Now that I have a clear fuel filter; I can see oil that drains back into the inline fuel filter.
I store the fuel tank in the garage, so the the fuel line is left in the boat.

Is this normal or DO i really have a vro pump failure, about to fail.

thank you

Re: oil back bleeding in to inline filter

get rid of the VRO pump and install this premix pump.

directions: VRO to 2 line pump

it is a little more complicated than just the pump. using that pump is the correct conversion. on the port side of the motor rear of the starter, you will find 3 bosses, 2 bolt holes, and a plug to remove. this is the mount for the new pump. you will need to block the pulse line from under the carb to the old VRO pump.(just a bolt in the hose, and a hose clamp). remove the Vro Harness and the oil tank harness. reroute your fuel lines. premix your fuel, and you should be good to cruise.
