oil alarm

i have a suzujidt150 outbord, took it out today and the oil alarm went off, then the rehigh rev alarm went oof and shut the engine down, oil res is full, is this a bad sensor or what is it

The 115/140 and 150 DT engines are different but you may have a simular oil filter/flow sensor. Go to Browns Point Marine and look up your engine for specific parts locations. I removed my sensor and blew threw it backwards with low pressure compressed air. It was kind of like a cat caughing up a hairball. Not saying this is your problem but if it is old it surely has gunk on the screen and when the flow gets low the alarm will go off.

If you do remove it you will have to bleed the air out of the system or risk blowing your engine due to lack of oil.

actually, the flow sensor in the above picture can be dissasembled,clean the screen and reassembled.
pressure could possibly damage the switch diaphram.
