Re: ohio river

Bob, I haven't boated on the Ohio river for a few years. I went bigger and now stay on Lake Erie. Depending on what you want to do and how much action you want to get into will make the difference. You could either go south down rt 11 through east liverpool and cross over the bridge into West Virgina and go to a place called Kennedy Park which is in Newell WV. This is South of Mountaineer Race track. There phone # is
304-387-3063. They charge a few bucks to launch and Park. It is a pretty good pool between the locks to boat but other then the boats there not much to do.
Another sugjestion would be to trailer to the east to a place called Fox Chapel. It is on the Alleghney River one lock up from the Point in Pittsburgh where the 3 rivers join. Here is a link to there site so you can call them or e mail and find the closest ramp. I remember launching at one right off of the highway. http://www.foxchapelsearay.com/marina.html

Things change so give them a call and I'll try to talk to my friend that goes there and get some more info for you.
Cordell

Bob,
If you still want any information I found a book I picked up a few years back that is called a guide to the three rivers.
