1984 searay 210srv, really clean good looking boat. Upon inspection noticed the bulkhead between bilge and foward tank area had some rot so today I dug out the rotted wood right down to the bottom of the hull fiberglass and forwad of the opening has foam from the bottom to about 6" up forming a "v" I assume the entire length of the hull. Heres some pics of the boat and the mess Im working on, thinking of how im going to seal this up.

Plan B may involve removal of the fuel tank and the engine as you probably will find more wet & rot throughout the structure. Usually that chambers of the hull structure are foam filled. So, you probably have foam besides just along the keel.

It would be best to figure out where moisture readings are high and work a plan from there. A low-priced moisture meter can be used in areas (like stringers and other bulkheads where you can get contact to the wood core through any fiberglass coating.

Your boat likely has an aluminum fuel tank. You might inspect it's bottom for corrosion, while you are at it.

So...found the source of the leak!
The round hole the bilge pump sits in has a small breach through to where the bulkhead used to be. I was blowing out the cavity with my air chuck when I found it.
I do want to pull the tank and have a look see whats under it.

Usually when you start on these jobs you will find more damage / rot.-----And then some more.

It looks like the only way to reach this foam is cutting out the glass below the tank, its soft and spongy to step on nt very thick seems like 1 layer of mat right on top of the foam.

I would do a complete evaluation of the engine / drive before spending any coins on this thing.
