Off to the Lake

Off to the Lake ... Only 69 Deg and 10-20 MPH winds Might hit 71. But this time of year ya take what u can get here in MN. I would like to hit the Mississippi or St Croix but the 5- 10 in of rain last week has the rivers at flood stage. Usually that makes for a stressfull day, fast current, logs and debris, beaches under water,launching and loading w the current.. . Can be a challenge. So off to Lake Marion in the southern Twin cities to run some laps in the T-Craft -see below. Y'all have a good day !

How's the milfoil down there? Haven't been on Marion in years but used to spend some time on Orchard.

Howdy neighbor ! Milfoil wasnt bad, dont even remember seeing any a month ago actually. Ah , the 3 lakes Marion , Orchard and Crystal, nothn special, but convienient and you can beach, at the public beach. I will give an update tonight

Beautiful day on thre water ! Ended up near 75 A total of 3 boats on the lake A little cool in the windy end of the lake but the boat ran great and the leaves are starting to change, water temp 63 The beach that usually has bikinis as far as the eye can see had 2 people and a dog. A nice quiet day. no stress, no launch lines Mellowwwwwwwwwwwwww

Gotta love it, except for the empty beach part. Last time I fished Marion milfoil was terrible, but that was 10 years ago probably in July. Never been on Crystal, but fished Orchard a lot. Moved from Eagan to West metro so I don't get to those lakes anymore, but I miss them. Never been on Minnetonka yet (hate the crowds) but thinking about doing a spin around one of these days, A lot of the boats are out of the slips now so should be somewhat quiet. I've heard it's beautiful out there in the fall.

Hey neighbor I think marion must have done something about the Milfoil as I dont remember it being a prob this year.. Even in the shaloow bay in the NW end The weeds arent bad. I havnt been on Mn tnka in my boat either. If you go out this fall maybe send me a PM I might drag my boat out there too
