I do a lot of exploration diving. I tow a RIB off road for up to ten hours each way, locate a suitable beach, launch and recover from there.

My problem is developing a simple but effective way of getting the boat into the water on a gently sloping sandy beach. No ramps where I'm talikng about.

I've attached a full trailer hu and wheel to the front of the draw bar and attach a removable telescoping pole for extra reach but it puts two articulation points in the set up and consequently as soon as one of the trailer wheels bogs or come to a small rock the trailer goes sideways.

I'm desperate for any inovative ideas you guys might have.

Thanks in advace

I'm not sure I fully understand your modifications but I happened to see in a recent BoatUS catalog an extension tongue that allows you to get three or four more feet of tongue lenght for this purpose. I could not find it on the Boat US site but if this sounds like it may be the ticket, I could get some information form the catalog if I still have it..

That's a useful link Rogerwa, thanks for that. Certainly gives me an idea or two. Many thanks
