OEM or Aftermarket

Looking at replacing the water pump in my 90 johnson 9.9 and was woundering if the OMC parts are better than the aftermarket ones or are they about the same?

once i order gearcase seal for john 6hp 72,OMC one.paid as for omc but on the label i found " made in china".
i bought OMC repair kit for water pump-its good, contain every gromets types used for 9.9/15hp made from 1974-2005.
so go for it.
its my advice

Use only OMC impeller, some of the aftermarket ones arent quite right sometimes. Sometimes they work fine, others are too thick.

The impeller is a critical piece of equipment for your outboard, I would not cheap out on it.

Thank You very much. I will get the OEM. I know some of aftermarket things are good but I have never delt with parts for boats.
