OEM or aftermarket impeller?

Hello All,
Have a quick question, what is the preferred route to go when getting a new impeller to replace the current one. There is about a $10 dollar difference between Volvo (OEM) and Sierra. That is like getting a free oil filter (which i do need) by going with the Sierra. Any cons going the aftermarket route?

Well - like brands of oil filters, etc, you will certainly get different opinions. I personally have had no issues with Sierra impellers. Having said that, I am not a Volvo guy... but for the Mercruiser Alpha impellers, I see no difference. In fact, the only problem I have had with an impeller was with the OEM Quicksilver. The center hub actually came loose.
