Looking into winterizing Seadoo and have noticed some issues firing up the Seadoo so was looking into replacing Battery next year. Thinking it was about 8 years old, then noticed the Bat is 2011, so it's right at 14 years old.

Guess I'm going to get another Odyssey Bat

Went to cur my grass one last time and Bat went dead.
Took the old Odyssey Bat removed from seaqdoo and installed in mower. Fired it up with a few grunts and got lawn done

Both Seadoo and mower get PC925 Bats next year

I had a Costco battery in one of my boats that was still going strong at 11 years old. I had no idea it was that old. I installed a second battery to run an electric trolling battery and noticed the date on the old one was 11 years old. I replaced it the same day. I’m ordinarily a fanatic on my maintenance but just totally forgot about the battery.

Big mistake removing GOOD old batteries.
The newer ones are DESIGNED to fail in much less time and number of run down cycles.
Yes They can really build them to die on a certain year after construction.

Battery that old - I wouldn't trust it - don't shut the SeaDoo off while out on the water, it might not start again. As for Odyssey, they have been around a long time and have a good reputation - sounds good to me !
