Chumbucket.... Pumping the throttle on a outboard does nothing more than open and close the throttle butterflies. On a I/O, Inboard, etc, there would be an auxiliary pump within the carb that would shoot fuel down into the intake manifold with each pumping action. However, that doesn't exist in the your outboard engine.

Ok thanks Joe have to look at other area's.Maybe nature of beast,seems like carb Merc 's hard starting

I've seen accelerator pumps on some of the smaller Yamaha 4 stroke outboards.
