ODDD1 or someone...There's gotta be a fix for steering play!!!!

I can't believe there's no adjustment or repair for steering play for my 22.5' v-hull 5.7 Mercruiser. There's about 2 inches of play between wheel and outdrive. If there's no adjustment, there surely a bushing or something worn out. However, there's only about 180 hours on engine/outdrive. Please help!!! Thanks....

Is the steering on your Hydralic or cable? If it is cable it may be a problem in the helm. If it is hydro, then there may be some air in the system and a good bleed would take care of that.<br /><br />hope this helps
