Hey guys I got a truck for sale on Craigslist. 2001 Dodge 3500 dually. 12ft factory built steel bed 183k v10 gas RWD. Condition is fair. Runs excellent but has some cosmetic issues. Just wondering a fair price. Also is a 5spd and a reg. Cab. Tryed looking on the web for similar trucks but nothing out there as everything could find was a pickup . Thanks. Sod Breaker.

If it was a diesel then 183k would not be an issue, but a V10 gas takes it down
NADA shows it worth about 3K

the 12 ft bed hurts the value I think. as well as the 183K on a gas engine. folks that would want that truck want it as a pickup not the longer bed, folks that want the longer bed want it for work and so want it newer with less mileage.

for some sort of reference I sold my 2000 F350 Crew cab DRW 8 ft pickup bed 2WD V10 auto 110,000 mi. sold it in 2013 for $5500.

honestly I would look at a truck like yours in the 2 grand range, that is just me though. it would be purchased by a homeowner for hauling material once or twice a year or a new small business owner who can't afford a big expense on a truck.

I would put it in the $3000 range retail, $1500 wholesale. As a private seller I would ask $3495 and any offer able to be negotiated above $2500 would take the truck.

Thanks guys. I got it listed at $3,750 Or Best Offer. But I would be happy with $3,000 if it was a serious offer and not a tire kicker. I guess I'm in the ballpark then. Thanks again, Sod Breaker
