o rings

I have 1955 johnson with a pressure tank . what size o ring does the fuel connecter piece need

They're metric, which is why they're hard to find here in North America.
OMC P/N 301824
Aftermarket (Sierra) part number 18-7111
Size 5mm ID x 3mm wide.

Material is Buna-N but I suspect Viton would work better.

You can still get them from J/Rude dealers....'bout $1.65 per ring.

I read a lot of complaints (here) about the Sierra ones being wrong size. Is that true?

Don't have any idea on that FR.....never used an after market oring on them.

In a pinch, you can always go to a local industrial supplier (if you have one) for o-rings. They'll stock just about any size/material/durometer spec there is.
