O/B Starter Needed

I am searching for a 20 HP Mercury Starter Motor for a 1978 Outboard. Does anyone have any ideas? Part Number is 50-47216. <br />Thanks

take it apart, clean brushes and contacts and it<br />will probably work as good as new!<br />good luck,<br />M.Y.

I have a 73 merc 110 9.9 and I went through what seemed the entire internet and came up short, had a few places tell me if I found 2 buy them and they would pay up to 300 for one LOL.<br /><br />after 5 weeks was at the local shop I frequent and he had a brush plate that was like new on his shelf for years! Very lucky that day.
