I'm looking at a trailer here in NY w/o paperwork, every seller says "it's easy, just go to DMV", I looked at DMV website which says you need a certified weight slip and a bill of sale for all materials used to construct the trailer.
The first is easy what about the second?
anybody actually done something like this in NY.
Thanks

Its not that big of a deal. Did you have to buy new tires, lights, bearings for the trailer? Use those receipts and it'll keep them happy. Otherwise they might make you sign something saying you constructed it all from scrap steel you had laying around. A lot of it depends on who happens to be working at the DMV that day and their mood....
