The latest development is that I tested the spark plug spark and it jumps 8mm no problem. So now I'm back to the carburetor. I've had it apart twice and cleaned it thoroughly. I've disconnected the incoming fuel line and see fuel flowing when the motor is turned over. I've unscrewed the plug in the carb bowl and there's fuel there. What could be an issue preventing fuel from entering the carb throat when starting? The thing looks brand new. Can I remove the carb and put fuel in the bowl and move the accelerator arm to check if it's squirting fuel? Would that be a good test? I'm really at my wits end on this thing.
