Ns90A oil injection filter

A friend just bought a used 90hp nissan 2 stroke with oil injection. We cleand
fuel filter and carburetors and ran unit. Then decided to check and clean the
oil injection filter. After cleaning, engine would not start. I noticed that there
was air trapped in the oil filter. Is this the cause of no start? If so, how do
I bleed out the air? Any help is appreciated very much. Also, is there a
downloadable shop manual for this engine? Thanks in advance.

Air in the filter does not have anything to do with the engine not starting. Manuals are paper only and can be purchased from any Nissan or Tohatsu dealer.
