I have a 5hp 2 stroke Nissan that runs full speed as soon as I start it. This happened after I cleaned the carb. The chock will control the speed some but the throttle has no effect. Any ideas?

you have an air leak somewhere

Is gasket between manifold and carb missing ? adjusted tight ? Have left carb pieces ? Is throtttle cable well installed ?

Odds are you set the throttle cable wrong.
