This is a friend looking for his wife's sunglasses that she lost as she fell in the water Saturday night. Lots of wine was involved...LOL

He did find them....

That looks like fun and an easy way to score some brownie points with the Mrs.

They were probably prescription and cost $$, but hey that water looks nice and clear, good day for a swim.

Yes they were prescription, and she only had them a week.

The water is very clear now thanks to the zebra mussels.

I've done that for sunglasses, cell phones(still have the sucker-crackberrys are indestructible), keys (both boat and car), wallets, flashlights, fuel filler cap when I didn't know the chain was broken... although most of my stuff ends up in the drink because of my own carelessness, not drinking-since I'm generally skipper, I wont drink. Unfortunately our waters, while warm are never that clear

Bought new RayBans. Too dark under the Marina canopy. Put them on the visor on my hat...

Bent over to scoop some minnows.... (I think you know where this is going...)

Yep... SLIPPED right off and sort of.... uhm... Wobbled. to the bottom.

Little $140 mistake...

NOW... I have new Raybans... BUT... I have a "Nerd Strap" or some would call it a Croakie... :)

Still have em... going on 10 years now..

Yep.. we all do it... If you say you don't... You are a BIG FAT LIAR!!!

Now just admiit it... You will feel better.. hehe :D

and if you haven't done all that and ran aground you haven't been on your boat long enough.

Does getting caught in the current where the stern of the boat gets pulled upstream while beaching on an island and having the skeg plant into the sand count?

Haven't lost sunglasses, yet. But I bought a $30 pair of Bomber glasses that are lined with foam so they float. Towels and hats seem to be common objects I end up handing over to the lake beds.
