I am looking at purchasing a 2006 Fisher Freedom 2210 DLX - Deck Boat for around $12000. The interior was great but the hull was very dirty and would need to be cleaned. The exposed part of the motor had a good bit of erosion but the seller had it serviced and parts replaced that needed. The ride was incredible but in my research today I am hearing Fishers are notorious for hulls cracking and leaking because they are welded aluminum. With this one having been left in the water for a couple of months, am I crazy to even consider this boat? Are welded aluminum hulls a red flag for boats? I thought I wanted a deck boat so we could cruise the river but also fish as we wanted to. I could really use seasoned advice quickly!
